Help with ordering wheels

i am ordering a set of 15x7 black steelies for my taco and i have a daystar 2.5in spacer lift in the front with 31x10.50s, next time i buy tires i want 32x11.50s, would i be fine to still order the 15x7 wheels with factory backspacing and fit the 32x11.50 later on down the road? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

 

I would recommend at least a 8" wide rim for a 11.5" wide tire, and no more than a 9" wide rim. As far as backspacing goes if you get an 8" wide rim i would get factory bs, but if you get a 9" wide rim I would go like 4" bs(the tire will stick out a little further with 9" rim 4" bs).

 

yea im sure the 8in would work with 11.50s with factory backspacing but im really wanting 15x7s if at all possible cause i want to keep the tires under the fender flares as much as possibe

 

Keeping the 11.5" wide tires under the fender flare is ganna be cutting it close. The closest I would feel safe doing is 8" wide rim with 4" bs.
Ok to figure out how close you can get you need to get the width of the rim(i think it is 7" wide). Get the width of the tire(10.5" wide), and the distance frome the uca(1"). ok, now you subtract the 10.5-11.5=1.5 (tire with now to next tire with) devide by 2 you get an extra .75 inches (outwards and inwards) on each side of or your rim. Then from 7" to 8 inch rim it will stick out an extra .5 " outward. With a 3.75 bs to a 4" bs you will be sucked in .25". Now you do math to figure out the rest.

Ok, This is ganna be fun.
You get .5" outwards going to a 7" wide rim to a 8" wide rim. You get .75" gain on both(in and out) sides of the tire to go from a 10.5" wide tire to a 11.5" wide tire. You get .25 " in from going to 3.75" bs to a 4" bs. Now .5(out)+.75(out) = a total of 1.25" outwards. . .25"(the bs of rim) in - 1.25 out = a 1" futher out(just to see how much further your tire will stick out). Now I do not know if you will hit the uca or not because the tire is still going in about an inch. For total inwards motion of the tire .25(in)+.75(in) = a total of 1" inwards.

Back in the day (ha), I had a '98 xc with a 2.5" spacer lift, much like yours. I ran 32x11.5-15 on the stock 15x7 alloys with absolutely no problems.

Go for it Man! If you get steelies with close to stock BS you should be fine.

 

last time I checked going from a 10.5" to a 11.5" tyre is a gain of 1", not 1.5"

thanks guys, im gonna order some steelies the sames bs and size as my factory wheels and go with it because im gonna wear my 31s out first, i was just thinkin ahead to the next time i buy tires

 

If you're ordering 15x8 steel wheels (black?) then order them from me! Mine are from wheelers they are the B's with 4in. B/S. I had them on my truck a month and took them off. It'd be cheaper since you'd be getting them from VA and not Oregon. That's ONLY if those are the wheels you want.
