How many mpg for my 03 Tacoma TRD 6 cyl

Surprisingly I did not see this in my manual. Where would I find this?

You'll see gas mileage between 17 and low 20's for miles per gallon

^Really? This would be the first case that I have seen a manual being rated lower than an auto.

I'm hovering around 16mpg gallon this winter. In the summer I was round 18.5mpg. The colder weather and heavier tires put a dent in my mileage.

Mileage varies based on a number of factors, For me my mileage hovered around 12 because of my lead foot... If you're carrying alot of extra weight it may make a difference as well. I've heard that lifting the truck kills it too, but I didn't notice a difference til I added the wheel spacers.

Tune up, there is a reason that it dropped gas mileage.

I was at 19-21mpg pretty regularly until I went with bigger tires... Now I'm at around 16-18 regularly. I'm running a 3.4 in Auto & 4x4 DBL...

3.4L with K&N Intake, Flowmaster Muffler, Tires are 285/75-16
Mostly highway daily, but a little stop & go for about 5 miles through town on my way home from work..
I use an app called Gas Cubby on my phone.. type in the mileage/gallons/cost at each fill up, and it gives me a list of each fill up with my MPG and all.. then I can view charts like the one above, or graphs.. and it also lets you keep record of maintenance and it will remind you when an oil change or any other maintenance is due.. great app!

Scanguage shows a massive change in mileage after warm up. Depending upon your situation, you may get very fast payback on some type of block heater.

No matter what "facts" they give you, you can change the equation. A lot of fuel consumption is operator habits. MPG can also be affected by hardware and the environment.

You can educate yourself to help increase your mileage with sites like this:

Great people.
