When I bought my truck about three years ago, the PO had just replaced the leaf springs, now I'm trying to figure out which ones for shock length purposes. Do you count the overload spring in a 4 leaf vs 5 leaf spring pack? Mine have 4 leaves plus the overload spring. Thanks

take measurements from the center of the mounting points at full stuff and at full droop. then you can search out the specific shocks you need based on those measurements.

i think the standard 5100 bilisten shocks that all the vendors sell will work with lifts up to 3"

Thanks, I'll try that, though I'd still like to know if mine are considered 4 or 5 leaf springs.

i've never really thought about it. ....but i assume the overload is included in the leaf count. ..so a 4 leaf is 3 leafs + the overload. 5 leaf is 4 leafs + overload. ...someone may want to verify that though.

Alright, it is 4 leaves plus an overload for a 5 leaf pack.
