Adding a wheelers AAL to my wheelers 5 pack. This is what they look like pre assembly...the bottom leaf is the AAL.

Will be leaving the overload leaf out so I only get about 2-2.5" of lift.

Made her a new sub box today! 10" Pioneer shallow mount ported in a 1.08 cubic ft. MDF box behind the passenger seat :D:D I know its a shallow 10... But that sh*t pounds now!!! Ported boxes rule  Soon to upgrade to an Alpine Type R, same ported box.

It's all good man no worries. I'm curious to see the end product when you get the High-Low setup working. Maybe post a clip of how they sound together ;)

Decided that it was time for a oil, plug, air filter change. Old filter wasnt horrid but figured if i gunna do one might as well do both.

Couple of things there that you really should not use...

K&N filter = Bad news for your intake tube, throttle body and Mass air flow sensor.

Use OEM Toyota air filter from Dealer instead.

E3 plugs are not designed for our trucks and will not perform correctly.

Again use OEM Denso plugs from the dealer.

i have heard of it destroying the sensor but i think it may have been from over oiling.
The E3 plugs i dont see why they wouldnt help. Ill know more after this tank of gas i guess.

Our trucks are designed around a certain type of spark plug, The E3 are not it.

K&N filter is a high flow, low filtering system.

You live in the desert with dust, a lot will pass through the K&N that an OEM would catch.

Dirt in excess in the intake and throttle can lead to cylinder scoring.

Just looking out for ya bud.

good lookin out but im up for a trial of my own to see what happens.

i live in vegas and have a ton of dirt around here that floats through the air in the windy days.

That's exactly what he's telling you. The K&N is a "high flow" filter that is not join to catch all that vegas dirt that floats trough the air. It will lead to cylinder scoring and ultimately at the very least, a ring job. All which could have been avoided by using an OEM filter. Just an opinion.

nice man. I plan on adding a leaf (either Wheelers or random other) this summer. I'm gonna keep the overload though. Is it possible to add a leaf w/o removing the pack?

Let me know how it works for ya, ie weight capacity, lift, ride. Thanks

Chopper, Micah and the rest of us are trying to help you with technical truck issues, which is pretty much the main reason this forum exists. A lot of test and info and straight-up firsthand experience from those who heve been there, done that, is out here for everyone's benefit. Here's a thread on e3s:

Yeah. You can add a leaf w/o removing the pack, but I am also replacing my lift shackles with OEM, so it was easier to just pull them off.

I will have all the details in my build thread about how it's going to ride if you want to subscribe. Link in my sig.

This thread (linked inside the one you posted above): http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/152726-truth-about-spark-plugs.html is the one I read up on before I changed my plugs.

I went with Densos from the dealer

Someone seems to have backed up into my front and left white paint :/. (that spot sticks out the most and is almost 4ft from the groud)
