    I wanted to get alloys, but I wasn't sure how hardcore I'd be wheeling in the future. Plus I couldn't pass up $192 for a set of wheels.


    :eek: I get 14 at the worst when I drive 1 mile to work without the motor warmed up.


    I'm looking forward to getting good gas mileage driving 500 miles home.

    FWIW I didn't gain any noticeable MPG's when I swapped to alloys.

    It really only makes a difference in a lot of stop and go driving. The inertia required to get the added weight going is what kills your gas mileage.

    Finished installing the TG clutch & also made a switch panel and painted it gunmetal grey. Holds 6 switches comfortably and could pobably do 7 but I like it!

    A few 2nd gens I wheel with use tall skinnys. They seemed to like it. I ran 285 but when I switched back to mud terrains I wanted to go wider. Regearing to 4:56 has helped a lot.

    Look at build!
    A walk in the park. Could do it with my eyes closed.. It's literally just drop f/r drive shafts, un plug connectors, crossmember & trans mount and 5 bell housing bolts. Takes maybe 4 hrs.. Not including time to turn the flywheel. I ended up having to do it twice cause of a bad throw out bearing but did it in two days working on it after classes.
