I drove to Missouri to pick mine up and when I went to paint my flares there was rust underneath so now im going to have to cut my bedside fenders :( That's awesome though you don't have any rust issues, would like to see some Toyotas around here without any

Engine freshly rebuilt due to blown head gasket, built my own CAI, EGR delete from LCEngineering, Billstein 5125's in the back with GM leafs, I can't stand paying for something that I can make in my garage so I built my own spacers for the front and tweaked them for 3" of lift.
    replaced my body mount bushings

Nope, Rmodel65 is right. No rust at all. All of it wiped off with some dish soap and elbow grease haha. :D Also, my frame and body are rust free too. That's one good thing about living down south, no salt on the roads here. We do get "snow" every couple of years here though, but only once or twice can I remember it really sticking. It's a huge deal when it does though haha.

Haha I know man. But where I'm at, there's hardly any places to wheel. No hills haha. Most of it's just mud. Which is great, and really fun.. until time for clean-up. My frame and suspension (Hell, really my whole underbody) are filthy. That's my next project, to degrease and clean my underbody and suspension and the engine bay. My engine bay looks like a dust devil went through.

Sounds just like my old truck I had in Texas. Didn't have a bit of rust, but was covered in a red film from the clay dirt! Haha

Now I have a Northern truck that has surface rust....

Haha so true. Also, it's funny how much camo you see around here when it snows or when it's freezing (20's or low 30's :D). For most of us around here, the only really warm jackets and stuff we have are camo for hunting lol.

It was more or less the fact that I got it just because it was a cheap 4x4 haha

    Mod the Tacoma or Silverado?

This was my build thread for the Tacoma. Wrecked and it wasn't reliable for a DD so I got the Chevy.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-builds/165751-pcbuilders-1996-tacoma-build.html

Found my current Tacoma on base, bought it, and sold the chevy for exactly what I paid for it 4,000 miles later haha

hey guys maybe yall can help me understand something. I posted my question in the backspacing and offset thread but no one seems to be interested in helping me out. how can a 16x8" wheel have a 4" backspacing and an offset of -12mm? it seems to me that a 4" backspacing would put the mounting surface smack dab in the center of the wheel (because 4 is half of 8). it just doesn't seem to be mathematically possible. please help?
