I agree 100% haha. I love the black Tacomas. Along with impulse red. Pcbuilder, you definitely have one of the sharpest rigs on the site. It looks great. It's awesome how you've transformed it in like 5 months haha :D
Oh and somethinboutayota, I got some Polk audio db651 door speakers a while back that ran me about 100 for the pair. (Think I found them on crutchfield on sale, and only replaced the front ones) I would definitely recommend them if you don't want to spend a whole lot on components. If you can though, definitely get a small amp to push them.

Idk, sounds possible to me? :notsure: Are you asking because you're looking at getting wheels with that backspacing?

For the price they were great. $60 for four of them at Wal Mart. Definitely better than the stock speakers.

Thanks for the compliment! I did get a lot done in just 5 months, but now it's came to a halt because of how much gas I've been using lately driving home, future expenses coming up, plus military owes me $450 right now...

    Thanks!

I have no idea.. I admit I don't know too much about wheels but I thought offset = centerline - backspacing? So that would put offset at 0mm.. Interested to the answer.

mathematically its not possible. if you have an 8" wide rim, and a 4" backspacing, that would put the mounting surface right on the wheel center.... and offset is the distance from the mounting surface to the center of the wheel... makes sense to me that either the offset should be 0, or the backspacing should be less than 4...

Well, with a 12mm offset it's not going to make much of a difference. 12mm is just under 1/2".

    +1

That's what I'm currently running. Sound amazing for the entry-level price.

I see now about the wheel backspacing and offset. apparently you have to add 1" to the wheels width for "wheel flange"... im assuming that's just from the outside of the lip to the inside of the lip... makes much more sense now. thanks for the link!

I'm running a 75w x 2 amp to them (bought it on sale for $50)

This is phase one of my sound system install and all I have is the aftermarket head unit ($100 JVC), the amp and front speakers and it sounds great.

Phase two is another amp to power an 8" sub that I'll recess into the rear cubby storage on the passenger side (extra cab)

Phase three is to pick up another pair of the Polk 651s and put them in the rear for some backfill
