i did, it couldnt have been deeper than 1.5ft. Checked with the shovel i had. buuut i guess with the weight of the truck and the super squishy mud/leaf mix at the bottom, i just sank in and wasnt going anywhere. was actually more worried about hydrolocking the motor over getting out at that point.

Haha no, I don't like deep mud. Considering I have low mileage, I don't want my frame to rust out.

I know how that shit gets everywhere when you go deep. I loved mud bogging on my atv, but that was a nightmare when I cleaned it up to sell it.

New battery - went with Costco/Kirkland because of the warranty. Also, replaced the broken rear window kick-out cams with aluminum replacements.

I brought this truck (2003 Xcab 4X4 TRD) home from the stealership 3 weeks ago and have put nearly $4000 into it to baseline it and get it back into solid reliable condition. At least they sold it to me cheap. It was a very neglected (but not abused) truck, I don't know if they would have put any serious money into it to bring it back into shape - probably would have auctioned it off cheap and it would have wound up crawling rocks for a few months until it blew up. Like saving a good dog from the pound - makes you feel good inside.

Finished up rear shock install and bump stops. Used my forklift to flex it.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
If you have one in your area, consider Firestone. Lifetime alignment is like $180 or so.

    • Bought the truck, bought the Lifetime alignment and had it aligned.
    • New wheels and tires, had it aligned.
    • New suspension, had it aligned.
    • Steering wheel went off center, had it aligned.
    • New CV boots, had it aligned.
    • Steering wheel went off center again, had it aligned.

That was just in the last 15 months or so. Add up how many one-off alignments that would have cost...

I'm not sure what's up with the steering wheel just randomly going off center, but they correct that while doing the alignment.

Make a bonehead move and stuff your wheel hard into a curb when you are parking, have it checked. Hit something in the road, have it checked. The wind blows a different direction one day, have it checked just because you can.

I've had lifetime alignment on my Honda for the last 13 years and my Corolla before that. If nothing else, have your oil changed there and have them do an alignment at the same time. That way you don't forget it.

Got the first piece cut out. Cut the tranny hump a little big but this is a scrap piece so I'll redo it. Matches the contour of the floor perfect! Need to rip 3/4" off the top so I can lay the top on top of the front and sides so it will be stronger

I also tried drilling out the factory spot welds that hold the jack mount in and beat the shit out of it with a hammer and it didn't budge. Prolly just going to cut the end off and beat the sides flat.

I don't believe Schwab offers it, but it's worth a call to find out.

And this wasn't my idea, but loved Portal 1 & 2, so...
