After almost a year of putting up with a dash light out, finally swapped in some blue LEDs

Silly me thought there was only 2 behind the A/C controls, but it gave me an idea. Since the middle knob is colored differently anyway, leaving a white light there could end up looking better than having the blue mixing with the other colors. I tried scraping off the orange stuff on the back of the panel only to scratch all the way through the thing, so I will be ordering a clear 4runner A/C panel

Took me about 30min. Take off the rear driveshaft and put it in gear and take the nut holding the flange to the bearing. Unbolt the bearing from the chassis and slide it out. Reverse the process for installation. Make sure you get a new bearing bolt because you have to dent it into the flange so it won't loosen up.

The ETC button on only changes up-shifts are far as I can tell. It will delay when the up-shift occurs. I think I have read that if at a given load the normal (button off) up-shift occurs at 2500 rpm, having the button on will push that out to 2700 or 2800 rpm.

FWIW, I run with the ETC button on all the time. And have done so for years. At least the last 50K miles. Ever since I went to larger tires. If it was going to bad for the trans, I think it would have shown up by now.

Not going to run a snorkel. I'm in the process of rerouting the intake somewhere where I can keep as many of the benefits for dust/water that I had with the snorkel, but it won't be quite as good a location.

there is a torqueing process when you put the stake nut on. Wanna check the FSM or a Chilton's/Haines but from memory:
    1. Torque stake nut to 138 lb/ft
    2. loosen stake nut
    3. Torque stake nut to 52 lb/ft

There is also something in there about making sure the carrier bearing center is aligned to the mount. I re-used the spacers that were on the shaft and hoped for the best.

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Here are some more pics of the OME install yesterday. I get some trail pics this weekend. Once I drive it around a little, I'll also retorque everything. I'm also not running the swaybar.

Front Shafts. Angle isn't too bad but I do have a diff drop kit that I'll get around to installing.
    IMG_0651_zpsee79fab8_c42fa8840396cdb62ae45fa0d0e747703a5c03e6.jpg

Drivers side rear. The brake line and breather extension are plenty long. The greasable shackles are nearly vertical so there should be plenty of flex too.
    IMG_0653_zps92c0204e_d7ff6d1a178f5f0c9ec7fdc7674c9819a5ca2d9c.jpg

Passenger rear. The BPV bracket works reasonable well as the control arm is nearly parallel to the road. Also, though it looks like it in the pic, the exhaust does not hit the leaf. If it does, however, I'll just cut the exhaust back.
    IMG_0654_zps149ab2e1_3c6a269a4e7167f0703338dc0b72271c717ba759.jpg

Better pic of the exhaust bracket.

After. The rear axle did move forward slightly but not too bad. There is also a noticeable rake right not but I hope the leafs will settle in and level out.
    IMG_0652_zps2fc98bdc_3d8cd4d015828300372c4f5a6932dcd659220ce9.jpg

Overall, I'm very happy with the install. Final opinions saved for this weekend when I get to drive it 3 hours on the highway followed by 2 days in the rocks.
