Tacoma Fuel Door Assembly

those of you with the earlier model tacomas, How does your fuel door stay shut? My door has lost a plunger or spring or something and i can't get it to stay closed for anything, I almost tore it off going through a car wash and i gotta get it fixed.

What can i use to fix it, or where can i buy the parts i need? Tried ebay.. Nothing.

I appreciate anyones answer, Thanks!

does yours have a lock on it

yes, it does. But my ignition key won't work for it.

the esyest way would be go to a locksmith and have them make a key to it then to close it just lock it

Well, Thats the thing - i dont see how the lock can work. I'll take a few pictures of it tomorrow and post them up to show you guys whats going on.

It's not THAT big of a problem because when it does come open driving down the road i can just reach back with my finger and push it in LOL but i would rather it lock.
