Original price on 1st Generation Tacoma's when they were brand new?

Everyone talks about resale value and used prices on the 1st Generation Tacoma's. I wanted to see what the Tacoma's cost when they were brand new and what factory options they had on them.

I will start with my son's:

1998 Extended Cab SR5

I had a 4 cyl 98 prerunner I bought for 16,995, it had 12,000 miles on it in 1999.

I sold it last January for $6000.00. It had 196,000 miles on it. I loved that truck, and if it wasn't such a pain in the ass to haul a child around in, I would still have it.

I still have the window sticker

 

1997 SR-5, extended cab, V-6, 5 speed, cruise, air, manual windows. Last year before they offered TRD models. If I remember it was around $24,000 sticker.

 

i think i still have the original bill of sale for $19,000.
2002 dbl cab v6 4x4.

 

i think he's refering to the window sticker price. ..not the price you paid.

 

i know. the original bill from the original owner was in my glove box when i got it. ill have to find a pic.

 

$25,200 was the sticker price on mine.

I bought mine for $14k with 80k miles. Mint. So it lost ~$11k in 80k miles. Or you could say I gained $11k, cause this thing is gonna go forever

 

Wow, this speaks volumes. The price is not much different and the MPG's is about the same. I paid $25. for my 09 OR.
