auto transmission shifter arm play

    getting there....
    can any of ya'll climb under your truck.....if you have an auto....and see how much play there is in the shifter arm assembly? i checked mine...and there is some noticeable play...but im not sure just how normal it is.

    i can almost downshift mine without pushing the button, i have a decent amount of play

    alright.......i guess its pretty normal for some play there. mine is shifting a bit weird lately.....but im not driving on the interstate anymore...so maybe im just noticing it. wasnt sure if the shifter arm had enough play where its joined to cause weird shifting.

    There will be a little play in it.

    Also, if your shifter indicator (orange mark on floor shift) is off you can adjust that. Its just a 12 or 14mm nut that you can see holding 2 levers together on drivers side of trans.
