Nah. Looks close mine when I first lifted. Before it settled of course.

I'm actually looking for a way to lift the rear more. Even with the AAL with the dakars, I'm not really sitting level. Leaning toward new shackles at this point.

Hmm that's interesting, maybe because it's a double cab...my extcab doesn't look that high and I have 4inches in the rear and 3&1/4 inch of lift up front

Except your on 265/75s in that pic and he says he on 285/70/17 tires which are roughly 1.5" taller than your tires.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw those pictures. Looks really high for 285s.

Oh whoops. Didn't notice that. They are more like 1" taller so yeah, it is pretty high. 882s are taller than my 883s and he's got a 10mm spacer on top. With no heavy bumper that will sit pretty high.

Yeah, fair enough. I can't imagine his CVs are happy though.

bk808, do you have any pictures of your CV angles?

Same basic shit everybody else had 5 years ago.
2003 with full OME - 882's, Dakars and AAL and nitrochargers all around. No winch in the front yet and the 882's sat high as expected and of course the weight in the back didn't help, but I need my "stuff".

Side view with Dakars and AAL. I tried to get away without using the AAL but with the heavy shell, CBI bumper and drawer in the back it was hurting.

Front view with 882's and Toytec diff drop, photos a little dark but the angles seem fine:

I just bought a set of Dakar leafs and OME shackles from Wheelers.:cool:I have been doing quite a bit of research here but I can't seem to find exactly what else I need.

    Axle Shims?
    Longer U-bolts?
    Longer Brakeline?

And I just found out that Toytec is just up the road, so getting extra things should be pretty easy.

    Longer u-bolts
Shims, you may or may not need.
Longer rear brake line is not required, but certainly a good idea if you will be flexing out the rear end a bunch.

are longer U-bolts always required? Because when i got my kit from 4wheelparts they counter guys assured me i did not need replacement U-bolts and that mine were long enough to be reused...so i didnt buy any.

I need to get this kit installed soon! :)

^what Dan said. He set me up with mine and it's great. I didn't use shims and don't think I need them.

Your ubolts may be long enough but it is always a good idea to replace ubolts when changing springs rather than reusing old ones. Ubolts stretch a bit when new which is why you retorque them not long after they're installed. Reusing them with different spring packs can be done but is not ideal partly because of that stratching to "match" a particular spring pack.

It's a small amount of extra cost for new ubolts but I would recommend new ones.

What's the recommended torque for ubolts again? I retorqued them already but I should do it again before winter just in case.
