I have a canopy and i wish i had some junk to throw in the bed.. my rear is quite lifted with the regular OME leafs. Almost a little stinkbug stance going on.

Check out the last page of my build. Where I installed the AAL. Top pic is 8 months with just regular dakars. Started to sag about half inch compared to front. Threw the AAL in and slight rake now. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch

    Guys,

What kind of front "spacer" would you boys recommend? My truck has a little too much rake for my liking, plus im about to put jnstall an aftermarket front skid plate. Obviously, ID prefer for the ride not to be altered too much.

Wheeler's offers 10mm TPS and Toytec offers 1/4" and 1/2" ones.

You get roughly 1.5:1 worth of lift because of the IFS geometry. (10mm TPS will give about 15mm of lift)

I think I checked out your build (and several others on here) before I ordered the kit. I will definitely go with the AAL after reading around.

The AAL should be the third leaf in the pack, ya? The leafs go from longest to shortest, so I guess I'll find out when it all arrives

Yeah it should be pretty obvious when you start manipulating the leaves, but pretty sure it is third from top.

Just got off the phone with Wheelers. UPS won't verify my shipping address.... Have had a dozen USPS packages. Go figure. But none the less it will be here soon. :D

The shipping department and I had a good laugh. I showed her packages from every supplier except UPS and they still gave her flack. Almost like shipping to Canada.
Hopefully the evening of Feb 5th yall will get to see a torn down Toyota in a South Texas trailer park.

I put 881's on mine and dakars with the AAL on the install over 3 years ago. This was Oct 2011 and I then carried 500 lbs of patio stones all winter to settle the leafs...it did not happen.

I ended up way too high and stiff in the rear and removed the AAL's in the spring of 2012

I just have a topper on this little reg cab and do not carry a load too often.

I may put the AAL's back in some day if the dakars ever settle/sag but at this point no sign of that!

I will post a pic of the truck with AAL the day of install

Nice. I couldn't live without my aal, would have so much bro lean. I sit .5" higher in the rear with 882/dakar/AAL/1" lift shackles. I'll whore a picture here cuz I feel like it.

My leafs were starting to hate me carrying my bed rack plus the tent. Glad I had the extra leaf in the garage :D

Thanks for the info and pics, ontario and johnboy. I did order the AAL, but it was back ordered. I ended up installing the springs last weekend without the extra leaf, and LOVE the ride. Cant wait for them to be fully broken in! I might keep the AAL in case the springs ever settle or start to frown. I'd definitely want to install an extended brake line... the length of the factory one worries me.

I love potholes and speedbumps now, that's for sure

That's what I did. Ordered the AAL and left it in the garage until I started to get a slight bro lean. But now that the tent and rack are off. About 1 inch rake

Hey guys I'm curious if the dual exhaust on my pickup is going to cause problems with installing the OME lift. I'm looking to get the full OME lift w/ 883s and dakars sometime within the next couple weeks. I've read a few post about people saying they just cut their pipe at the downturn, but I'd prefer to leave it as is right now.

As the pipe is run between the leaf pack and the frame, shouldn't be a problem.
