It looks like you have a lift block in the rear now and the pipes were routed over the springs so you should be fine. Most are cutting the pipe because it hangs below the springs from the factory, and hangs even lower after the lift or hits something, I can't remember.

without relocating the stock pipe, the leafs will hit it as the stock routing runs under the leaf pack.

I knew it was something like that. I cut mine off as I installed the lift, so never really saw what the problem was. :p

Aye. I installed the magnaflow cat-back system not long after my lift. Then I was worried I might get enough downtravel to crush it. Found out it was going to be just fine.

Sorry to keep hitting this thread, but I have one final question before going through with the lift. I am curious if the AAL will be too much for the load I will have in the back. I'm going to be running the relentless bed bars w/ a yakima basket and spare tire pretty much at all times. I'll have a hi lift and a couple other things attached to the bars as well. I'm planning on getting the dakars, but am considering the AAL after sifting through this thread. I plan on getting tube bumpers eventually, but I'm not for certain when that will be...
    Any input is greatly appreciated!

After the AAL settles, it really doesn't add that much height. I was skeptical at first when boxrocket said 3/4", but that's about right. Fwiw, I would do the opposite of what these guys did ^ :stirthepot:

My only reasoning is that I haven't noticed many folks with 883's or 882's opting to leave out the aal... And personally I'd rather not pull the leaf packs out and rebuild if I can help it. Easier to do from start if you are buying it anyways.

Additionally it sounds like you 'may' end up adding more weight in the future :notsure:

    Flame suit on...

Just messing John! Valid points. If you add an RTT later on, you will more than likely need it.

    :)

That's the thing, I noticed pretty extreme sag from small loads, even just the topper weight made a big difference.

Thanks for the input, that's exactly why I figured I would ask. I'd rather install it while everything is apart then do it later. Was just curious if the weight in the back would be enough.

Hey guys I got a question. I just got my ome kit from wheeers! great guys and shipping was not bad to FLORIDA. $193 was a good price for a full kit and it got here crazy fast with ups. My question is that the rear dakar leafs at one end on the tops have symbols. one has a "+" and the other a "o" . does this have to do with the placment of either driver or passenger side for the rear leaf install? the front struts i had preassmbled are labled for sides due to the bro lean trim packer(which btw i thought would be set up a lil different, they just put a lil 5mm metal washer under the bottom spring mounting point to the shock but it still look amazing. pics to come on that point. but any help would be amazing thank youj all for the inpute and this awsome thread.

ps. sorry for the god auful spelling and gramer im in a bit of a hurry at work.

The + marked leaf pack goes on the driver side, it also compensates for the bro lean.

FWIW the lower driver's side lean is "taco lean". And yes the slightly taller leaf spring and 5mm spacer evens this out. The ass down, front up, pucks under your top hat, beach cruisin' flat brim white sock chucktaylor look is bro lean. Not much can even out the true cause of this.

So how much lift are the Dakar's with aal supposed to give anyhow? I know there is a lot of variables to that but in general what kind of height could a guy expect?

With the AAL I've read around 3" after they settle. I have dakars without the AAL and I have around 2.25" from the leafs alone. If your gonna have constant weight (150lbs+) in the bed I'd reccomend the AAL.
