How important are pictures? I didn't take many pictures (selfish, I know), but I am willing to write up a step by step for you if you don't get any responses in the next few days. I would recommend starting with installing the extended stainless steel braided brake line before you do anything else. I know some posters say this isn't needed if you are going up 2", but I would recommend. Unfortunately, I had this installed for me so I don't have a step-by-step for the brake line install.

I received the same, but I went with 881's and will run the 10MM top spacers. I also got Total Chaos UCA's.

Had a good Valentine's Day today installing my suspension. I went with 882's up front with trim packer and Dakar springs with D43XL overload leaf. The ride is amazing and is night and day compared to my stock bilstiens with spacers and flat leaf springs.

Thanks! Taillights were put in by the PO so I don't really have any info on them. The 3rd brake light are still bulbs.

Full ome kit with 882's,icon uca's, line x bed, 32" bfg muds, 2nd gen rims, low pro tool box,

Okay I have some issues. The rear springs and shocks went ongreat, no nuts or bolts were seized and the extended brake line was way easierto install than I thought it would be. I did not do enough research and guessedat the torque specks with my way over powered impact gun. If anyone has a linkor knows the spec’s to at least the u bolts, that would be great help because Iam 100% sure that my insane impact gut that goes up past 1300fp would snap myshiny new u bolts like a twig. Also, the shiny new exhaust bracket thatwheelers sent with the full kit got chucked in the trash fairly quickly aftertrying for a whole 5 minutes to get the exhaust pipe to play nice and then I foundmy saw-zaw and hacked that puppy off. I’m surprised that wheelers did notinclude the cheap $15 rear brake proportioning valve relocater with the kit? Seamskind of silly to me, Its on order now.

Now the big question! The front! When I went to install thefully preassembled OME 882 front struts I had to push the spindle and controlarms down sooooo far that both the UCA and spindle were jamming hard into mybrand now OME springs! I have briefly read about this and did a bit ofsearching and it seams I will now need to invest in some new UCA’s. My god howmuch more money do I need to spend? Why was I not smart enough to catch thisbeforehand? Has anyone else ran into this problem that bad? The small amount ofsearching I have done now shows other people still having the same issue evenafter getting new UCA’s especially with the ones I was looking into getting(LightRacing). They just shrug it off or tryto spin the spring so it wont hit but go between the gaps in the spring( I don’tlike this idea because I still do not want anything even close to mysprings).

If anyone can give me a little bit of insight to any ofthese questions that would be greatly appreciated.

What upper control arms will best resolve the issue ofhitting the springs or even getting too close? Which brand lasts the longestand does not require much maintenance? I mainly purchased the OME due to thefact that there are no front coil setting and low maintenance with long lifedurability and I thought it would be a simple and easy install without UCA’slike most high end high maintenance coil over kits that also require adjustmentsfor ride height.

Sorry for all the ranting as well.

Hmm. when installing the front coils I didn't have that issue. all I did was slide the new assembly in and loosely bolt in the top bolts. Then I used a bottle jack on the upper control arm to get the lca to go down far enough to align the lower shock bolt.

I put a 2x4 between the top of the bottle jack and the fender well so it didn't do any damage, and the bottom of the jack rested near the castle nut on the UCA. Worked great, but I'm not sure if it'd be any different for your model/year.

882s are tall and are meant to carry a load on the front.

I ran into the problem of spindle top/spring contact during downtravel. Going over speed bumps would cause a thunk as the spindle top would smack the spring on the swing down.

I fixed it by going with aftermarket UCAs (Icons). I've heard the LRs will do the same and you avoid the problems associated with uniballs as the LRs have sealed ball joints.
