No power steering HELP

I recently replaced my rack n pinion on my tacoma and now i have no power steering at all. Ive flushed the system and bled it.... Nuthing seems to help... The pump
Is quiet but it feels like manual steer

 

Recheck the placement of your hydraulic lines make sure they are in the right spot

 

Everuthing was put back in the same spot. I was wondering if the pump is too weak for new rack

 

Also i read online that a bad pressure hose mite let air in sys without leaking. Ive only replaced rack bc of leaks underneath not bc of lack of power steering

 

Why would the pump be to weak? That makes no sense. Make sure you didn't replace the high pressure side with the low pressure. Clearly you haven't hooked up something correctly.

Double check your work.

 

Yeah there wouldn't be any reason your pump wouldn't work, it really sounds like you got your hoses crossed or something

 

The lines are correct

 

The only thing going to the rack are lines, the only thing you replaced was the rack.

Go recheck your work...

 

Unless you bought a bad rack, something isn't right and the first best thing is to.............

I have rechecked the lines. If the rack was bad it seems like it would leak. Fluid flowing fine i bled pump again to check flow. The lines were placed in the exact spot they were removed

 

The rack was purchased from Dearborn Axle.... And carries a lifetime warranty

 

How did you bleed it?

 

Well I dunno then that's pretty much all I can think of that would cause loss of power, it all worked fine before you replaced the rack? Could it be that one of your lines are plugged?

 

I cleaned the lines before install . And then i flushed system....part of warranty req

 

To bleed u place return line in a puke bucket while pouring fluid in res.... While engine running until the fluid is the same color as what u pour in then replace cap and return line

 

Call up where you got the rack from and ask them, there's something that might have been overlooked and they might be able to tell you

 

I bled air out by raising front
Wheels removing power steer cap and turning the steering wheel from
Lock to lock several times yesterday and again today.

No such luck. They blamed everything but the unit. Claimed air was in the system despite my bleeding it six times as instructed. So im back to square one. The steering hasnt gotton any easier and i dont see how there cud be that much air in the system to completely take all the power away
