New 1st Gen. Looking for rear winch bumper

I finally found a 1st gen DC that met my search criteria. This one was a trade in at the Toyota dealership. Traded in on a Friday, sales person called me, and I bought it the next morning!

It seems to be in really good shape. Definitely hasn't been beat on. Lift was installed by dealership (Revtec), but i'm not a fan of the body lift.....


I have some pretty big plans for this truck, but one of the things I'm having trouble locating is a rear winch bumper.

I realize this will be a custom piece, but does anyone on here have anything like that?
I would also like a rear swing out tire carrier/jerry can holder as well. Something similar to this:

Where are you located. If possible we would be more than happy to work with you on a custom rear bumper built to your specs.

One thing to keep in mind though with the 1st gens is if you plan on adding a heavy bumper with tire carrier or something to that extent you will want to plate the rear of the frame as they are notoriously weak.

 

You should get on and search that forum.

I did a quick search and found a vendor who makes a tire carrier rear bumper combo. I know there's MORE out there that's available. That was just what I found in a matter of 2 minutes.

Ditch the body lift lol

 

Hey guys, thanks for the replies! Today has been really busy for me, but I'll have more time to update this tomorrow.

I'm attaching a pic of my truck when I first saw it sitting on the dealer's lot. I live near Tulsa, btw.


I've actually built several rigs in the past that I'll post up too. My wife and I love to explore Western Colorado and Utah. This build will be centered around expedition/adventure travel, so reliability trumps crawl capabilities. Part of the reason why I wanted a 1st Gen DC!

So the truck had a body lift too? It kinda just looks like a spacer lift by the photo (revtek).

As far as the rear winch bumper goes: just buy a winch cradle that plugs into your rear hitch. that will save you big bucks and you still get the winching.

Also - I had the revtek spacer lift before I upgraded to 2.5" coilovers. You will have a much smoother ride if you consider alternatives.

 

It has a Revtek spacer lift (3" I think?) and what looks to be a 2-3" bodylift. I've had body lifts on fullsize vehicles in the past, and it looks like this one was at least done right... Gap guards all around, and everything has been properly extended.

I would like to get rid of the body lift, but since I didn't put it on, i'm afraid it would be a ton of work to try and get that off and back to stock....

A true coilover lift is in the works, along with the correct UCAs as well. It actually rides pretty good right now, so I can only imagine how nice it will be with a REAL lift on it!

The tires are 285/75/16 General Grabber AT2s, and are almost new, so they'll stay on there for a while. Seems like a pretty decent tire too.

 

If it is a body lift, The removal isn't too hard. The worst part was the steering exstension sleeve because you can break the clock spring like I did. so secure the streering wheel in place. otherwise its pretty straight forward go slow and dont forget to get new bushing for the cab. I Went through energysuspension.com about 40 bucks cheaper than orielly's. cost for the hardware from toyota is also really expensive.

 

I use a removable winch reciver on my truck works great but all i use it for is to pull the hides off of deer during season so i didnt really have to get an extreamly heavy duty one.
