Oil Filter relocation Kit 97 4 cyl

Does anyone know about or done an Oil Filter housing extension/relocation kit. Pretty tough at my age to reach filter from side or even from below

 

umm I would be intersting in this as well...

Heck, if this could be worked to have an Oil cooler as well it would be even better...

It's a real pain to do oil changes on these trucks I know, & a long time ago, I thought about getting a kit for my truck. I did some reading on this and it kinda scared me that while driving, sometimes the clamps can pop off from just the heat of the oil.....If you do get one, it might be a good idea to get the heavy duty fittings & braided lines. Well about hoses...

You can get great hose at the hole reman shops. They can sell you stuff that can with stand oil, heat and anything else..

Also getting the right clamps is key to any project like this.
If you could, see about having the hoseman making the end of the hose pressure clammed. like for Power sterring.

If you get a hose that can with stand 5000 PSI then you are golden.. that also work with OIL, GAS, and other toxic stuff you will not have an issue. Or you should not.

SO that post said look at Ford kits..

I guess take a Toyota filter in and see if it matchs.

Does any one have feed back on addingin larger filters and is it an issue.
I know they make monster fitters these days.. You know waht you find aon Ford 302 block from the 1969

 

I ran this for years on a cherokee. Get hoses rated as fuel line and you will be fine. A normal rubber hose will sweat oil over time and make a mess. Never had an issue with leaks using regular old hose clamps. Getting the ends crimped on would all but eliminate any issues. Thinking of doing thins on a '02 3.4L......

 

Does it have an issue if the filter kit is mounted on the side of the wheel well?

 

I forgot to ask, can a oil cooler be mounted using a second fan if you don't want it installed around the radiator? I'm using an electric fan for the radiator and thought if the oil cooler had it's own fan, it would cool all the time while the truck is running.
