    Up at Windrock this weekend while I was riding with Johnsono49, I noticed that he had the electronically actuated 4wd Transfer case. Funny thing is that I have the exact same truck, 2002 DC TRD 4x4 sr5 yet mine has the manual shift transfer case. So this raises the question, what determines whether you got a electronic or manual shift t-case? Gonna make a poll to see what the results are.

    The button puts it in 4hi. Still gotta come to a complete stop and move the lever to get into 4lo.

    Not completely because Johnson049's truck is the same as mine(2002 3.4 Auto transmission, 4x4, TRD) except his is the push button 4wd which is the whole reason it got me wondering.:confused:

    I have an 04 D-Cab Limited TRD Off-Road, V-6, and Auto tranny. I have a manual lever for 4X4, no push button. I have to move the lever for 4Hi. I have often wondered how many versions and what determined what the truck came with, as someone else has asked me if I had the 4Hi push button before.

    So if you have a button for 4Hi, does that mean there is always power to the front driveshaft and the button just locks in the front axle, or power to the front driveshaft and the front axle are both activated electronically?

    OK well I'm a dumbass then:facepalm:, cause I definitely have the one pictured above. I was thinking the auto tcase was just a panel of buttons on the dash like my old silverado that had 2LOW, 4LOW and 4HI with no lever on the floor.

    So I have a 2004 XC TRD manual trans, electronic tcase.

    Please excuse my noobness, I've been driving chevy's for the last 7 years:rolleyes:
