2001 2.7 auto, fuel pump wont prime, no spark, help please!

My 2.7 auto failed to start today, the starter is working, but I am not getting a spark. I cannot hear my fuel pump priming either. My friend and I have searched to the ends of the internet, and we have checked all fuses and relays. (we took the TAIL relay and put it in the EFI and open circuit fuse locations, and it still did not start) Any ideas? The truck only has 78,000 on it, and until today, started faster than most brand new vehicles.

 

Did it quit all of the sudden while you were driving it or is it just not starting?
I had an incident were my rodeo quit while driving after I was gas'n on it hard and I ended up blowing a fuse for the fuel pump. Which BTW was not in the fuse box but under the hood near all the relays.

If it ran before and just will not start, see if it is throwing and trouble codes like a knock sensor. If you have one of those inline spark testers it will tell you if your getting spark or not. otherwise of course check for fuel fuel/pressure.

Thanks for the reply, I was definitely not getting a spark. To all the googlers out there with this problem, I hooked up an obd-II, the truck was throwing a crankshaft position sensor circuit fault. I replaced the CPS, and it started right up. The CPS is located under the alternator bracket. You have to take it off to get to it. Hope this helps.
