Crankshaft sensor location

Could someone tell me where it is?! I know it's on the drivers side of the block, I'm guessing it's down low, but I have mo idea what I'm looking at, and the Haynes manual is no help. How do I access that little bugger?

 

its down low on the driverside of the block for 4cyl and 6 cyl. look on page 6-4 and 6-5 of your haynes manual.

found it, its under the alt. I tested the plug that goes into the harness with my multimeter on a few different settings (x1k, x10, Vac 10, Vac 50, Madc 50, Vdc 10, Vdc 50) And It read zero across the board each time. I tried it with the key out first, and then with my friend trying to start it. I barely know how to use a multimeter, does it sound like a new sensor will fix my problem?
