01 DC Bilstein 5100 before and after

Bilstein 5100's all around, struts on upper ring, OME rear 2.5" lift springs, with Toytec upper control arms. Went in pretty great. Did it with my 83 year old grandfather and a few beers over the weekend. Letting it settle in now. Have decided that ball joints were created by the devil. Had to cut, drill, hack and pound to get the ball joints out of the idler arm. Now I need a longer rear brake cable(just not comfortable with how short the old one is to start), drop the carrier bearing a half inch, and do a front transfer case drop. Gotta love the Billy's!

I actually think cars a trucks for that matter dont look to bad with the rear just a touch higher then the front...but thats just me

 

Rear is a touch higher but it should drop a little over a few months. I love the ride, stiff but still absorbent. Did notice that the ABS line bracket fell off the upper control arm. Guess the screw hole was a bit big for the stock screw. I was a bit worried about the exhaust touching the rear springs. Once I dropped the truck it is about a third of an inch away which is fine with me.
