k&N FIPK bad idea? need help, will it make my sensors go bad?!

hey guys, thinking about doing a k and n intake on the truck, shes got 195,000 on her but want to pull a few ponies out of her, looking at the k&N FIPK says it addes 9 horse power, i have the box K&N filter in there now, is it hard to do putting the intake on? will it mess with any of the sensors? i made my own intake and put it on my last car and it made all my sensors fry! will k&n do that? scares me alittle. help plz

if you really want to go that route just make sure when you oil the filter do it properly(read the directions) dont soak the bastard. but seriously the deckplate mod is way cheaper and gives better results.

Nothing will really increase hp except for a super charger and nothings gonna improve mpg enough to be noticeable, personally I wouldnt pay for the k&n unless i got it for cheap which i did but it does sound good when i punch it
