after market steering wheels for 03 tacoma

i would like to put an after market steering wheel in my truck, any suggestion? I know about it not passing a car inspection and no air bag(no big deal) but i would like to put a better steering wheel on my truck. Let me know

i have an aftermarket wheel and i love it. find one that you like and buy a hub to mount it. its easy to install, just need a steering wheel puller.

did you find a steering wheel adapter that fit your truck or is it universal? i found one that is universal to fit a grant wheel.

mine is a MOMO made for pre-tacoma toyota trucks, but its the same as a tacoma. but it only fits 6 hole wheels, like sparco, momo, etc...

Wouldnt you get a "check engine light" for the missing air bag?

its a 2000. no check engine light, but the airbag light goes on. i just unplugged the srs module and it got rid of the light.

so twoarezee, what adapter did you use for your 2000 model? im looking into how long toyota used the same steering collum / shaft for all toyota models.

i have a momo hub, it will work on your truck because my friend has the same one on his 01. momo doesn't list an application for tacomas because of the airbag, but the one for the pre-taco pick-ups fits exactly the same.

MOMO, Sparco, and OMP all use the MOMO style adapter (6-hole). Other brands may require a different adapter.

In all cases, look for a pre-1995.5 adapter application listing. No one lists an application past (around ...) 1994, because that's when the airbags became mandatory on small trucks.
