Got anxious to see what Storm Gray Metallic would look like on the rack, so I hit it with a light coat...

Thought you all might like to check it out. I think it looks great, and I believe that's what color I will be going with for powder coat!

Flourescent garage lighting may throw it off a bit, and I apologize for the camera phone pics......

Personally I would go for a gloss black powder coat to match the truck. But the gray looks sweet too.

Nice color I do like it as well even if it isn't orange. :D

Won't they have to blast that off now before you powder coat it?

Looks like my order of progress may have changed....

Yesterday, I purchased my Rooftop Tent from Toyota of Dallas, and tomorrow I'm heading down to pick it up!
    Can't wait to get it...

Got the rack put back on the truck, and will post up pics tomorrow of how it looks installed with a RTT.
It's looking like the NEXT weekend will be the one where I bend up the 1" tube and weld it on.

I know several of you have asked me for pricing on the steel used. That's probably going to vary quite a bit by your location.

Figure about 2 sticks of 2" tubing, and 2 sticks of 1" tubing.
