spray on bedliner question

so i plasti dipped my grill surround and bumpers but im not satisfied with how its final appearance came out to be. now i was thinking of removing the plasti dip and using spray on bedliner, like some guys on here have done. should i remove the plasti dip and use the bed liner or do you think it will bind good enogh if i leave the plasti dip on??

 

I dont know but i have Rustoleum Bedliner spray on my light bar and it started chipping off in random places within about out 3-4 weeks. YES i prepared the light bar properly so im not sold on anymore spray type bedliners.

 

yes remove the plastidip first then prep the grill real well,the more prep done the better the adhesion will be.

OP, if you decide to paint your grille in anyway remove the plastidip and prep your grille according to whatever you decide to use. Herculiner holds up very well and might be better but I don't know how well it will look on the grille though.

 

i heard the roll on bedliner, though tackier, binds better to more materials. but of course thats just what i heard

 

Duplicolor spray bed liner > Rustoleum spray bedliner, from my experience. Strip the plastidip and hit it with that stuff.

 

herculine it. not to brag at all, but i have side swiped someones acura with it and there was nothing but the acura's paint on my fender... you wont regret it, it fades after a while, however i painted it recently with black rustoleum paint and its been keeping its black for a couple months now.

I scuffed mine with 180 then sprayed Dupli-Color Truck Bed Liner. I went with 4 "light" coats, I'm happy with the result and like that it has a fine grain texture.
