bed racks, helper springs...

anyone out there using them? about to start renovation my house and looking to make my truck more versitile w/o blowing the bank. I'm just looking for a simpple pair of racks to run side-to-side at the front and rear of the bed, don't need the full tilt over cab type.

Also looking to give some extra support to the rear suspention (helper spring, laod bags) for those day's I fully test the hauling capacity while praying the clutch stay's glued. The truck isn't a spring chicken, it's a 97' w/ 160K but looking to support my tired leafs w/o replacing them... yet. When the house is done my new project will be the truck, suspention, tires ect. and my goal of not getting stuck in the mud... but the house has to be done first.

thanks guy's,
Fish

try some helper leaves or some air shocks. i have monroe ma-727 air shocks and they give me about 3" of lift when fully inflated. they help me from bottoming out when carrying loads and allow be to adjust the firmness/softness of the rear suspension.

I replaced my stock set of springs with a set of Deavers. Much better.

Deavers are good but do the opposite of helping heavy loads. you would want somthing with an overload spring. JCW sells aa set of helper springs for around $150 or so
