ok so when im driving usually over 40mph my hood will start to rattles like it is undone. most people think its going to fly up, when im on the freeway doing 70 its pretty bad. I am not sure if this is common but its done this since i got it a year ago and its annoying. i took off the bug guard thinking it was that, and it helped but it still rattles.. ive checked bolts and tightness, i think its the latch but how do i fix this?

Mine rattles too until a day or two ago i found that the rubber pieces (two) where the hood sits is adjustable and i raised them so the hood wont rattle.

mcguire: i ditched my bug guard awhile ago due to it causing the hood to rattle worse..

yeah , its where the hood sits, you just twist them outwards , all you have to do is pop the hood and twist them and done

Mine rattles a bit while offroading or hot bumps. I first cranked the lil rubber do-hickies but the fender lines and hood line did match up well. So lowered em and just wrapped a lil tape around hood part that goes on the latch. I would like to know a reason this happens, doesn't look like anything can move or really bend....

mine was doing the rattling around on the freeway too. i would just sit there and stare at it on road trips -- bugged the hell outta me. but i was able to adjust those little rubber stops and get it perfectly tightened. it took a little trial and error to get the hood to line up right with the fenders and still be held securely, but i was able to without much fuss.

i hate to say it, but i was more excited about fixing that than installing my auxiliary fuse block, which i installed at the same time! :)
