clear corner lights

Hey guys, i really want to get some clear corner lights for the front of my truck. I was just wondering if i would have to buy a whole new set of lights or if i could pop the orange piece out and replace it with a clear one. If i could do that, where could i get the clear piece?

you can get a set of clear corner lights on ebay, chrome trim or black trim for around $25 plus shipping. im getting a set with the black trim pretty soon.

I considered buying a set for the black trim off ebay too since it looked like masking the trim on them would be a bear. Turned out to be super easy with a sharp Xacto knife once I got them off the truck. And I got to make sure the black on those matched the black I used on the rest of the grill.

I put clears on my 96 and converted them to blinkers too.

i hear that. well, im gonna bed line the grille, so i think it'll blend pretty good with the ones i end up getting, then i'll have the full brushguard so you wont really be able to tell to much difference then too.

So you have to buy brand new lights, you cant just pop the orange reflector piece out and replace it with a clear one and replace the clear lights with amber ones?

Nope... the housing is all one piece of plastic (so to speak). You can't really take it apart.

correct....and believe, i have tried....it dont work, and i havent seen anyone with just a replacement reflector anyway. $25 aint bad for a new set of corners though.

Alright then ill just suck it up and spend the 25 when i get some more money. i was really hoping for a cheap alternative, o well.

Check with your state laws.... They might require parking lights be 'orange' in color.

So - along with the clear corner lenses, you might have to buy orange bulbs to keep it legal.
