why does a 04 taco have 3 leafs in rear and 96 have 2 leafs in the rear

    I saw a stock 03 or 04 tacoma with 3 leafs in the rear, why does my 96 and my dads 97 have 2 leafs in the rear.? Are the 97 and 04 the same height sitting side by side?

    Toyota wanted to make you ask questions. See how well it worked?:D IDK youd have to ask toyota they redesigned it in i think 98 made them longer and beefier. Maybe they didnt like the old design
