Hey guys wondering if someone can help me out. I did a quick check on here and found one thread that suggested it's cool.

I've got a 2002 stepside trd 4x4. It's got the stock 265 70r16's on it. There are no worries with with putting the earlier 1rst gen 15's on it?

While I'm at it, does the second gen 16's fit on my 2002 as well? (i've got a 2010 as well with 265 75R16's BF Ko's on it)

(Kinda sucks I'm looking to buy now after giving my 15's with bf's on them away for free when toyota bought my 98' back...lol.)

    Cheers!

The 1999 15 inch rims do fit on the 02 tacoma's. I ran the 31's for awhile off my old truck on the newer one and now 33's with the 99 factory 15's. If you buy aftermarket 15 inch rims then you need to be careful about clearing the caliper. Idk about 05+ tacoma rims on these trucks.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
That's the first I've heard of the tacoma 15's not fitting on the 02-04 trucks but I do know the 05+ wheels fit the 02-04 there is a bunch of guys running them.

Worth mentioning there are a few 01-04 tacomas that cannot run a 15 wheel because they have a fancy brakeing package called VSC. Chances are you dont have it on your but you never know.

Sweet, I'll check into that for sure, cheers and thanks.

It's pretty easy finding 15's with nice boots around here (ontario) as lots of early first gens have gone to the crusher. The 2002 has got the original rugged trails on it, good shape and all but aren't cutting for offroad and won't cut the winters around here.
