I have a stock 02 tacoma. I'm putting a 2" level kit on, and was wondering if i could run 285's. Also getting a relentless front bumper so im not worried about the front side of the fender wall scrubbing. I want to get km2's but they jump from 265 to 285. If i dont have enough clearence imma have to go with the 275 all terrain. Can anybody help me out?

With a 2" lift, you're going to run into some rubbing, even after clearancing so keep that in mind.

The general concensus is that you want at least a 2.5-3" lift to be able to run 33's and even then, rubbing can occur depending on the particular set up. Most people here will recommend that you run a 265/75/16 with that set up or the 275's.

FYI, if you do decide on the bigger tires, you'll want rims that have 4.0" of backspacing or less to keep them away from UCA's and frame. If you're going to be running stock rims, you might want to look into some spacers.

Thanks man. do you know anything about those relentless or elite bumpers? they look almost alike. they're pages on them say send the description of what you want and send money an they'll build it. I'm new on this internet forum stuff, didnt know if that was a scam or what bc i didnt see a phone number. And any idea how long it takes to get em' because if its just that one guy building them its gotta be a long wait.
