where is the fuel filter on an 01 double cab

    If you have teh V6, the filter is on the driver side frame rail, just slightly behind the driver door.

    If you have the v6, it's a pain to get out w/ the hard fuel lines. I got frustrated and just started yanking it out, be careful you don't break anything.

    Shouldnt be that hard at all. Disco the lines from the filter, and remove the filter.

    When i did mine, the lines run pretty far into the filter which made it a pita. The rust and the fact that everytime you move it more fuel comes out didn't help either.

    Pull your fuel pump fuse and crank engine over for a couple seconds, it will release the pressure in fuel lines. Before putting new filter on, go over the line threads with a metal brush to get all the rust off if there is any. otherwise you will have a little leak happen.
