Yea, I might go test drive it wednesday. Anyone have any idea how much I could get outta my truck? 2003 5lug 5speed. good paint, good interior, engine runs fantastic. Only thing not stock is the sound system and K&N drop-in along with 235s instead of 205s or whatever comes stock.

    Ha! thanks.
Also, is it just me or does the TRD decal seem a little low? Possibly meaning it's a rebuilt wreck or has been repainted?

Decal is too low. Doesn't mean it's a wreck for sure though. Someone could have bought them and tried putting them on themselves.

That seems odd, it has the button for the diff lock in the cab. A lot of unanswered questions there. I'll just have to check it out for myself.

    Urrbody loves a ho.

Good looking truck. The V6 auto's are gas guzzlers and dont have the power of a 5spd. My mom bought a V6 Auto and whenever i drove it, i noticed it didnt have the acceleration that my V6 5spd has. Not a big deal but something to think about.

And that TRD decal is not too low. My moms TRD offroad decal is in the same exact place. Nothing to worry about.

the motor might be, but all i know is i've had my 2nd gen for 8 months and not had a single problem. . . . . and would not pay that much for an 8 year old first gen with that many owners and miles. i'd go maybe around 12kish.

Well, My first choice would be a 2nd gen 4x4 DC, then an AC and THEN a 1st gen 4x4 DC. I'm starting to look around, I won't be able to afford it until early fall-ish.

That seems a little pricey for a 100k+ mile truck. I got my '03 with 28k miles for a little less than that from a dealer.

    "15 steel wheels, 121.9 wheelbase, Rear leaf-spring suspension w/staggered gas-filled shock absorbers, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS), 3.4L DOHC EFI 24-valve V6 engine, 3.91 axle ratio"

Definatly 16 inch rims. I could be wrong but i was under the impression that all TRD's tacomas came with 4.10 gears unless they auto got the shaft.
