1991 2wd ex cab v6,5spd everything works,179k miles...asking price 1495.00.....looks very clean in the pics, going to look at it in the morning.
Looking at buying it for soon to be 16 yr old son

Pricing sound in line for a truck this year model to you guys? It sounds cheap compared to what I have been seeing here in S Tx.

    Thanks

That 3.0 V6 is known to have some issues. Check the head gaskets, and compression test the cylinders.

What issues to look for other than head gasket/compression?

Is the head gasket problem a factory deal that is fixed by replacing the head gaskets? Or are these motors just prone to head gasket trouble all together

Thanks for help and info....I've only had the 2.4 liters and a Tundra V8, not at all familiar with the 3.0

I think it was a weak set of gaskets, but I cant remember 100%

I am proud of him, he is working a summer job(40 hrs a week) made enough $ to pay for it. Not bad for a 15 yr old....now on to wheels and a stereo! LOL
