I've had this on the "want list" for a while. Finally found the right price, actually turned out to be an awesome price, so I pulled the trigger.

On for one day and its the shit. Dont need a hard top because i haul over sized items often. this seems like it will be awesome. Primary reason was for surfboards , just kind of an out of sight- out of mind thing as far as leaving them in the bed exposed.

It was a 2 beer job with the help of a buddy (1 1/2 hr)

Highly recommended so far, hope i can still say that down the road

Where did you find the aformentioned awesome price?
Also: Does anyone know if you can go through a carwash with a Bestop on your truck? I know my friends with Jeeps could never go through unless they had their hardtop on...
Your pics make me miss my 1st Gen.

Got it from auto anything. I read their vendor reviews on here AFTER ordering from them and it was all pretty negative but I've had a good experience, it was delivered about 3 days after ordering. PM me if you want info.

You can take it through a laser wash. A "brush" style wash will damage it. Best advice- take it to the kind where you wash it your self and use the "gentle" setting when you wash it. Mine has been through several washes and two northern NY winters and held up just fine.

i figured the soap would get stuck in thew porous material and bubble up every time it rained if you didn't rinse it out well ( thats what goes on in my mind, stupid shit)

Can you select different colors? I have only seen black but n0rth's truck has a beige looking one. So how do you see the different color choices.

    Looks tough btw.

thanks. i think a few different models have color choices, for the 1st gen tacomas this is the only color i have seen. Bestop makes the tops for mopar to use factory on jeeps so im assuming there are other colors like tan..... and thats probably it, just not tan for the tacoma unfortunately. maybe softopper brand, but no window there
