So I now have my S/C and 7th injector kit installed, but now I have a few questions. I am now having problems with my truck starting it cranks and cranks and doesn't seem to want to start, ounce I get it to start it runs great. Has anyone else with the same set up had this same problem? I was under the impression that this AIC box I installed was preprogramed for this set up? Am I wrong? Do I need to do some tuning myself? Please can anyone help me?

Recheck all your wires. Sounds like you tapped or cut the wrong one
You soldered right? No chicken shit crimp connectors.
Also make sure all the plugs to the ECU are plugged in ALL the way. I had one loose connector and make all kinds of shit go wrong.

    Are you throwing any CEL?

I double checked every connection before I cut and soldered but I will double check again and make sure all connectors are plugged in Thanks

Did you change your fuel filter when you did the new fuel pump?
If not, do it. Its 15 bucks and easy access.

Exactly. My truck is only 7 years old compared to your 13 year old truck and my filter was NASTY!!!!!!

Other thing you can do is leave the key turned on for a a few seconds to make sure the pump primes the FI system. Run some fuel injector cleaner through a few tanks of gas. Make sure you are running the highest grade fuel you can get in your area.

Ya when I was under the truck the filter wasn't exactly looking new, should have changed it when I noticed it...

Quick question on the fuel filter guys, where is it located on the 3.4? I threw code p0171 and it mentions something about the filter so I want to change it.

    Its not.
One bolt holds it on and two flair fittings for the fuel in/out.
Just make sure you install it in the correct direction of fuel flow.

So is there any advantage of paying 40 dollars for a Toyota filter VS a 20 dollar one from the parts store?

It says Toyota on it

Actually yes...kinda. I bought one from parts store and it was like 1/4-1/2 inch longer than the factory one. Made putting the fuel lines in a bit trickey...but doable.

When I replaced some of my front end parts I used NAPA the guy who does all my front end work swears by them and so far so good. I just ordered a $25 fuel filter with them and I think it will do just as good.
