Snorkel & rain?

Sooo, I installed a snorkel this past weekend.
Even though it is sealed from water coming up from under the truck, creek crossings, do I need to worry about driving in the rain or just turn the head around backwards?
Or, is there a prefilter element that is available?

 

You will be fine driving in the rain.

 

There is actual weep holes in the bottom of the snout that fits to the down tube that is suppose to help dissipate the water.

 

If there are weep holes wouldn't that mean water could come in the bottom during a water crossing?

 

x2.... i've driven in downpours with my snorkel and the filter is always dry as a bone. The only time you'll ever need to turn the head around is during heavy snow, it clogs the head up.
