Have a 96 4x4 taco, looking to buy a suspension setup for hard pack (Ocotillo) and setup for dunes (pismo). Spent most of the day searching and trying to figure out what would be best. So would long travel be needed or just a lift kit or coilovers with control arms and aal.

    http://www.tuffcountry.com/suspension-kit/toyota-tacoma-1995-04-lift-kits.html

those are just a few iv got in mind. thanks for the help in advance.

LT is the way to go if you have the $$. ...aside from that, i'd go with the extended icon resi coilovers, icon uca, and alcan custom spring packs.

you can take that toughcountry spacer crap and throw it down the hill.

    ...too much shit to list.
Neither of the links you posted are good options for what you want to do.

LT is really the only way to go. If you are short on money, do the rear LT first and a mid travel setup up front (fox or icon extended travel's with aftermarket UCA). If you LT the front first, and nothing in the back, you'll end up bucking the ass end around and may as well have just a spacer lift up front.

i worked at a vw dealer in the late 90's and up until 2004 and they are with out a doubt the worst cars ever. how much wax has oozed out onto your rocker panel and how many times has your window regulator been replaced?

dude your going to love the toyota lol its should be problem free :)
