Where to buy a new glass gate latch for my cap??

7th Injector kit, Trans Cooler, Donohoe c/o's, Billy's in the rear, FJ Cruiser Trail Team SE wheels.

So, I have an A.R.E. cap on my Taco and one of the glass latches has rusted and can't free it up...so the one side of my glass doesn't latch and now rattles.

I have googled the latch and can't find anything. Even emailed ARE and they responded "Contact your local dealer". Called them, they said bring it in, we'll take a look at it, nothing they have in stock and they will have to order it...

Why do I need to make soo many trips to them and overpay for something I should be able to find and order on the net myself!

Any suggestions?
