Electrical help please

My 98 Runners dash and taillight fuse keeps blowing. Any suggestions, it happens after a few min of driving with the lights on.

It's likely you have a short, where an exposed wire is touching metal. You may have to find a wiring diagram to help chase it down.

If you have trailer lights or any other non factory wiring installed on that circuit, that would be a good place to start looking.

I would also suggest looking into areas where you did a recent instal of a part. Bumper, lights, t hitch, anything close to wires that could have been pinched during an install.

electrical problems are an absolute bitch to trace, if you're easily frustrated or just plain don't know what you're doing (I don't claim to be an expert!). Get yourself the wiring diagram (link below) for your truck and work methodically. Start at one end of the circuit and work up form there.

Starting where you've recently done work or at your trailer harness is a good place to start, though.
