Lift kit and tires on a 1st gen tacoma

I havn't got a tacoma yet but when i do i'm thinking about putting about a 2-3 inch lift kit on it. Would 33in tires be good? also does anybody know about the gas mileage with 33's and with stock tires on a 1st gen tacoma?
thanks

OME seems to be pretty good from what I have heard form others. With 33s I get close to 16-17 mpg

I have a 04 4x4 3.4 V6 auto and I'm getting ready to install 33 inch tires in the next couple of months. It requires wheel spacers for the front to clear the upper ball joint etc. Or you can buy different rims. With the stock 31 inch tires I get 20-22mpg hwy unloaded.

i agree with blue, go with OME although i love my eibachs...good luck finding them.
as for tires 33's look good w/ 3" lift but i have 265/75's with about 3.25" of lift and it looks fine, and i average about 20mpg or 300-330 mpt and thats with sliders, toolbox with about 100lbs of stuff in it and my speaker box.

edit: also my hi-lift and full size spare

haha yea i took my brush gaurd off a while back and sold it to some guy with an s10 so i guess that helped a little and id have to say the big secret for me was teh ultragauge...it helps alot for learning your truck, and my cruising speed is about 65-70 on interstate and nothing more but i used to average 17.6 before the ultragauge and when i got it, it put into reality so i changed up my driving habits.

Wheels

I'm trying to find a v6 and are probably going to get some kmc's or something else with 32 or 33's. Anything special i would have to do with about a 3 in lift?

maybe a little trimming but other than that you should be fine as long as you put them on a wheel with at least a 4.5" BS but if you use stock wheels you can just get a some wheel spacers to clear everything
