I need to replace my third brake light in my 2003 Tacoma ext. cab. I understand the headliner needs to be removed in order to do this. However, I was wondering if anyone out there has a diagram with the exact/proper way of doing this? From what I gather, the two rear panels, visors, and map lights all need to be removed first. However, is there a more isolated way of doing this? Say, just pulling back the headliner fabric with only rear trim removed? Thank you!

I'm pretty sure there are just 2 screws on the third brake light housing then it comes out.

Bump it up a year indeed. It's a PITA to do this, at least for what it is.
