    I am thinking about getting this truck for my trail/off road rig.

    I was curious if anyone has any thing in particular to look out for when purchasing a toy of that age and condition I.E. frame rust etc.. I will going to see this truck in person on Saturday 10/25/08 so anything you guys could recommend i would greatly appreciate

    thanks! i know i couldn't believe it when i came across it this is my favorite year ^im just worried about the frame but..... i I run an engineering dept at a sheet metal shop and i think we can rebuild the whole frame :D

    WOW! that's a really good idea and $1500 is still pretty cheap but i think i could build it cheaper. i get free labor, at cost material prices etc..:cool: but before i get to excited i will have to report back here what i find out saturday morn. (pics!) I have contacted the seller and set up an appointment so wish me luck! I cant wait to rescue a beat up toy and breath some life into her again

    The high school I graduated from last year rebuilt the back half of a 1984
    it was not to hard and it turned out good

    Damn that looks like a pretty good deal a buddy of mine had an 83 that he use for a beater and he sold it for 800 but this thing had been put through hell. We had the rear quarter panels zip tied on it smoked like a train lol

    but none the less it did say toyota so it always got us where we need to go
