Tires

Ive herd the super swampers are really loud on the street and most of my driving will be highway exept mudding on the weekends. My dad has the mickeys and only does street driving and loves them. I just dont know what tire will look aggresive, be good in mud, not wear bad, and are just the best!

I loved my SSRs that I had with my Tahoe. They were no louder then the BFG MTs that I had before that. That being said, they didn't last that long, maybe 30k miles

BFG Krawlers are the non-streetable version of the KM2.

So...they'd be bad on wear.

The Mickey T MTZ's I have on my Jeep make easy work of mud, snow, rocks, etc...

I've had Mickey Thompson MTZs on my truck as well as BFG KM2s I liked the MTZs in the mud better. Had them on a jeep before and went through a lot of mud in 2WD, did great. Gonna test out Pro Comp Xtreme mud terrain.

Read good stuff on the Maxxis Buckshot Mudder. Price / Wear / Ability were all reported good. I need an odd size and I waited too long to start looking, so had to settle for the Bighorn in 10ply. Expecting good things.

 

I have almost 50k now on my KM2s. They're super quiet for MT's. I expect them to last for probably another 20k at this rate, still a solid amount of tread on them. That being said, I might look for something other than BFgs. Never have had a set that balances very well. I got this set road forced, and there's still some slight vibes at 75-80.

 

This, for a good mud/offroad tire that's also good for a daily driver (which sounds like what you want). I've been through some nasty stuff with km2's and i've been very impressed with them. But, if you're looking for more of a strictly mud tire, The swamper tsl's are what I would recommend over the boggers or thornbirds, but pretty bad on wear and noisy on the road. Or, swamper's ssr is similar to the tsl with a little better road manners. I like these two swampers over the boggers, which are more geared towards just driving straight in mud. I would go km2, tsl, or ssr, Just depends how aggressive you want
