wheel spacers?

im looking to purchase some wheel spacers to gain a little more clearance from my frame and a-arm. if looked online but i find so many some cheap some really expensive. i would appreciate some feedback, experiances and opinions to help in my search thanks guys.

Spidertrax. never used them but i think that is the most popular on here.

 

ive seen them and like the quality of them i just this set of four on ebay for 130 bucks 1.25" spacers. is it worth the risk?

I'd stick with the spidertrax or really any from a reputable dealer.

 

thats what im thinking if its gotta feal with tires i dont want to risk a faulty piece

Just to jump in - i was about to buy front and rear Spidertrax or All-pros for my stock rims. Then realized for just a hair more monies, I can get new, black rims with better backspacing.

Can't tell what exactly you're running from your OP.

 

If you do run wheel spacers from ebay they do work well. A ebay sellers warehouse is nearby me and i needed a pair ASAP cause my wheels rubbed the caliper. I purchased them and they can take a serious beating, Just make sure to see if they are grade 8 ,and billet al. and torque them properly and check them and your fine.

 

thanks guys for the advice i might try the ebay ones. they say they have a warrenty and they are grade 8 billet will let know what i come up with later

 

correction they are t6 billet aluminum still good quality?

 

i have wheel spacers on my rear axle... i beat on my truck pretty good. no problems, just make sure to take the wheels off every now and then and make sure the nuts on the spacer are still tight

 

I went with spidertrax just cause I really didnt want to cheap out on something so important.

Yes, those are perfect. They are all mostly billet. If you want to spend a little more the All Pro Offroad ones a just a tad more.

 

As mentioned the Spidertrax or Allpro ones.

No one mentioned why though, the reason is they are hub centric (meaning the bolt to the hub on the original lugs and use new lugs built into the spacers). When you use just the cheap spacers that slide on the original lugs, you're cutting the amount of available thread for your lugs to hold the wheel on... which can be dangerous.

 

see these ones i found are hub centric they slide onto the old lugs bolt onto those and then use new studes and lugs fro the rim. my father-in-law was saying about extra strain on the suspension and drive train should i worry about it?
i dont go off road often but i wont hold back

 

Na you dont need to worry unless you get like 2" or bigger. I ran 1" and went over some rather large whoops, or rollers , at 40 mphs on accident and suspension completley took a hard hit and the wheel spacers were fine.

 

Spidertraxx or Allpros are the only ones id ever run.

I am running the 1.5'' Allpros personally. I like em a lot. Its super hard to get my wheels off tho..
