No...Sway bars have nothing to do with moving the LCAs..they stop them from moving..

    yes..your crazy hahahaha

nah..but the sway bar doesn't make the bushings in the shocks go bad. They just wear out from the suspension cycling. Only thing to do is..get new shocks.

I ordered toytec coils and 5100 today and for some reason I thought I was gonna have to have something to make my sway bar sit further down to compensate for the lift..

    thanks for the info

    oh...no not at all.

In fact i would recommend just taking off the sway bare AFTER you put on the Eibach coils. Will ride much better.

My driver side inner boot has been leaking for over 7 months now, but nothing has completely blown. My inner seals are also gone, but that doesn't surprise me considering they're the oem cv's with over 130,000 miles on them.

Ah, yeah. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Some people have gone over a year with them leaking and it still works fine. When it tears is when issues can arise by allowing dirt to easily get inside.

yea..its a common thing. All about the risk. Our trucks aren't meant to be lifted over 2.5'' otherwise boots explode.

    I blew two.

Should it really be happening so frequently?

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Im just curious as to what makes the boots rip quicker? I know lifts put the CV's at higher angles but is it that the gills are touching and rubbing together that makes them cut open? Or is it something else?

I believe it's when the friction rubs a hole in the flaps. The higher the angle the more they touch and thus more friction. I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere

That's exactly it. But mine aren't ripped at all. The driver side inner boot slid back allowing grease to leak out of the end of the boot.

The first time my inner boots ripped, they tore completely off of the collar that holds it on the axle, so the smaller part of the boot. If that makes sense
