    NOOOO

Do NOT stack lifts. You want to get rid of those damn spacers anyways

No he won't. It'll be like 3.5'' of lift and destroy his ball joints and CVs.

if he is dying for 3'', get 882s.

I'm not really doing for it just want all the clearance.I'm looking at toytec and I'm not seeing an option for 882s just 880,881, and 883s

Okay, well let me explain this too you.

Lifting does not make you clear tires better.

The cycle of the suspension stays the exact same, so your going to rub with bigger tires no matter what. Staying lower in the travel of the truck is better so you try and split the travel of the truck. So you have almost as much down travel as up travel.

As for more clearance for the skid, okay you'll gain a bit. But you gain 0'' from the rear diff. That is all tire clearance. So its kinda pointless.

Really 2-2.5'' of lift is ideal on our trucks. The ball joints are happy with it, the CVs are too, and you have plenty of down travel still and lots of up travel.

The short version is, don't over lift your rig. you gain nothing from it. And since you have NO extra weight up front and are a 4 banger, you don't need a 620lb coil like the eibachs. That is WAY to much coil for you. the 882 is a 500 rate coil and will give you your magic 3'' most likely since you re light weight. And still ride nice. Add some weight and they will hold it fine.

    he's right

i was at 3.5" for awhile
tore CV boots every couple months, had no downtravel, and ride was pretty damn rough

lifts don't change the size of the wheelwell or any of the turning mechanics/overall suspension geometry

I have a DCSB V6 4x4 with adjustable 5100's in the front on the 0 setting and 3" Eibach coils and it rides just fine. But I do have an aftermarket Trailgear low pro rock defense bumper and Camburg UCA's. But I never got the UCA's cause it rode like crap. I got them so I could be within alignment specs.

I'm not searching for the magic 3'. In general I was more or less asking about different coil and strut option to be close to the amount of lift. I know how suspension works.

After this discussion and going through the toytec option it seems like if I go with 880s and 5100s @ 1.25. After they settle alittle I should hopefully be around 2.5 total

Id just go with 881s if that's what you want. Will ride better.

Your also a v6 with armor.

    Different story.

Also I can see your cv boots wearing in the ohoto you posted. Won't be much longer till they blow. You can feel the lip being rubbing into them I bet.

881 on stock 5100 setting . sounds like a plan.

I've owned a few lifted wranglers before. This is my first taco, just been needing these different opinions for these springs on the 5100s

That picture was taken hen I had them on the 2nd setting until I realized it's not worth preloading the coil for a little more lift. After that I put them back down to the 0 setting. Are you an off road mechanic or Toyota mechanic? Or do you just know everything?

Go look at my build sometime and you'll see why I..know.

And actually I bet your cv boots still are wearing just the same. Mine blew after about a year of daily driving.

You need some weight on there, your cv's are not going to be happy and I'd be willing to bet it rides like you have bricks for suspension.

I have same conf. V6 4x4 ext cab. Rides pretty good. Better than stockers preloaded to 2.5.

Yeah I'm thinking about a plate bumper and some rock sliders soon. I never did install the diff drop because I've read so much about it not doing crap lol. The ride is a little firm but not to bad!
