No no no no, if their that much im not even gonna touch em, when i look the price range for those is from 150-500 per light. I dont know whats the matter with the 150 lights, but do i really want to chance it and waste 300 bucks?

Looks like those lights use a 35w hid bulb. You'll have no problem matching that output doing it yourself.

you can get the lights from pretty much any auto site. as far as the HID kits you can get cheaper ones on ebay for around $40 or a better quality kit from slimcubby for i think around $125ish...

Get some Hella 4000 euro halogens and convert them to 55watt hid. If you go slim ballast you can fit the ballast in the housing. Brighter than the 500/700 converted.

I have 4 x 700ff converted to 55w 3000K HIDs. The light output is incredible, probably around 20 - 25 times brighter than the stock headlights.

With all four lights on you can't even tell when you turn the factory headlights on/off/high.

I had converted my Hella 4000s from 100 watt halogen to 35 watt HID... it has been a sad expeience so far because of the POOR quality of the bulbs and ballast sold... not to say a thing about having to wait weeks to get things replaced that either don't work right or HID bulbs that are not the right color.

The German Hella Factory lights are the way to go... but you will pay for QUALITY... IMO.

I have gotten a pair of 4300 bulbs that flicker... then asked for a pair of 5000 bulbs, but was sent 6000s... that are as blue as 8000... then sent back and the next pair of '5000's that came flicker and are yellower than the 4300s (ie. 4000 or less ºK).

Over a month later, and I am waiting for another pair of 5000K bulbs to see if it is right.

I've had my Hella 4000 converted into 55watt hid. So far it was worth it. It's really bright at night.

Where did the kit come from?

Also to the OP/ moderators... why is this thread not in the Lighting forum?

Testing of LED light bars by off road racing folks have shown them to be not as good as lamps in DUSTY conditions... So, if you are the only vehicle out on a run at night, great (if you can affornd them) as they do light up everything. But, if you are with others on a run, or in off road racing behind others... the LEDs get reflected back off the dust particles so the effect is like a 'white-out', and blinding.

HIDs in beams, penetrate through the dust better and has less blinding back reflection from dust...
